There are only a few settings required for the Grandstream HT-701 ATA to support FAX through the Strategic Voice Solutions network.
1) First you must order a DID number for your FAX and ensure you order the T.38 Fax service when ordering
2) Login into the HT-701 via the Web Broswer
3) Check "Yes" for the Account Active
4) Put in your "Domain: for the Primary SIP Server. (ex.. trk4.packetvoice.us)
5) Put in your "SIP User ID". If this is a Trunk, typically an extension number. For example: 100
6) Put in your "Authentication ID". Same as your SUP user ID.
7) Put in "Authentication Password". View this in your web portal at the trunk by clicking "view" password.
8) scroll down to the options to a setting called "Fax Mode" and make sure it is checked for T.38
9) On the same area is an option called "Reinvite after fax toned detected" should be disabled.
** PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GRANDSTREAM HT-701 IS KNOWN TO HAVE ISSUES AND UNRELIABLE FAX ISSUES. NO ATA WITH T.38 CAPABILITES IS 100% RELIABLE, BUT THE CISCO/LINKSYS SPA ATAS ARE THE MOST RELIABLE MODELS TESTED.
