When using gotomeeting and Strategic Voice Solutions you may experience poor voice quality or voice drop outs.

This is due to a low bandwidth internet connection with no QoS (quality of service) in place or incorrectly configured QoS. When screen changes are made on gotomeeting, large blocks of bandwidth are used and with no bandwidth control to the intenet connection, the priority may go to gotometing and cause the VoIP audio to drop out or get choppy.

You can test this issue, by simply closing out all gotomeetings on the network and make the same type of conference call. If the problem still persists, you may have other users on the network using high bandwidth technologies like youtube, file downloads, etc which can cause the same problem.

Please also note that you may have what is perceived as a high speed internet connection at 5 Mbps or higher, but this may only apply to download speeds. It is not uncommon to have 500Kbps to 1Mbps for upload.  With VoIP, you must have go by the slowest speed based on both directions since VoIP is a Full Duplex technology.
